Masters Energy Recieves SON Certification
Masters Energy Oil & Gas Limited recently received SON NIS ISO 9001:2008 certification from Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) for conformity of her processes to Quality Management System.
The company received the certification for purchase, marketing, sales and retail distribution, bulk distribution (vessel and marketing) and storage of petroleum products. Presenting the certificate to Masters Energy, the representative of Director General, Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON), Head of Management System Certification (MSC), Engr. (Mrs.) O. B. Ayeni, congratulated the company for going through the rigorous processes involved before the issuance of the certificate. She informed that not all companies that embarked on the process of the certification successfully concluded it. She said that Masters Energy can hold its head high in its processes by virtue of receiving the certificate but warned that “the company should not lower its processes because SON will continue to monitor the processes and will not hesitate to withdraw the certification if the company compromise its processes or lowers its standard.”
Receiving the certificate on behalf of Masters Energy Oil and Gas Limited, the Group Head, Business Development & Strategy, Peter Ayaeze, thanked SON for their patient with the company all through the certification process. He said that “the company attaches much importance to its processes because that is the only way to ensure that our operations meet the expected standard and, as such could easily receive endorsement from all stakeholders.”
Also speaking, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Masters Energy Group, Vincent Ajala, congratulated the company for the huge leap with the award of the ISO certification. According to him, “the ISO certificate meant so much to us because it is a signature of authority, compliance and best practices appended on our processes. It was a rigorous process the company went through to achieve this but it is worth the while.” He continued, “we are happy to join the league of high flying class of quality management system certified companies in Nigeria. We are very proud of this certification for the many positive connotations it will bring to us as a company.”
The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) certification is the award given to locally manufactured product with consistently proving record of meeting standard requirements after passing through rigorous analytical process.
