It was double honour for Masters Energy Oil & Gas Limited as the company was conferred with Most Customer Friendly and Preferential Outlet of the Year award (Independent Marketer Category) and ICAN MERIT AWARD recently.
The Most Customer Friendly and Preferential Outlet of the Year Award (Independent Marketer Category) was conferred on the company at the 2015 Oil and Gas Award Dinner organized by Businessday Newspaper which took place at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. Masters Energy battled other companies for the award in the downstream category was nominated for outstanding performance of its retail outlets in customer friendliness. The organizers, Businessday Newspapers, commended Masters Energy for its investments and achievement in the downstream sector and challenged the company not to lower its guard.
The Businessday Annual Oil and Gas Award Dinner is an oil and gas event that brings together the major players and stakeholders in the sector to appraise the performance of the sector in the out gone year. It is also used to recognize and reward outstanding companies in the different sectors (down, mid and upstream sectors) of the industry.
Similarly, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) during the ICAN Dinner Award Ceremony held at the Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos, honoured Masters Energy Oil and Gas Limited with ICAN MERIT AWARD for its immense contribution to the growth and development of the accounting profession in particular and Nigerian economy in general.
The event which marked the 50th anniversary of the Institute was organized to honor individuals and corporate bodies that have made outstanding contributions to the profession through accounting job creation for ICAN members, supporting professional accounting development and supporting the Institute, including patronage and funding of its activities.
Masters Energy Oil and Gas Limited was the only organization to be exclusively honored during the night as the company received the Corporate Body Category Award for outstanding contributions to the growth of the institution, the Accountancy profession and to the Nation.
Presenting the award to Masters Energy, the 50th President of ICAN, Mr. Chidi Onyeukwu Ajaegbu (FCA), said that Masters Energy Oil and Gas Limited was being bestowed with the Corporate Body Award recognition for being an ardent contributor to the overall development of the institution. He said, “Since the inception of Masters Energy, the company has been involved with ICAN through various sponsorships and job placement”. He went on to say that “The President of Masters Energy Group, Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah, being a Fellow of ICAN himself recognizes the contributions of the institution as a globally recognized body of accounting professionals to the development of the Nation.”
